DarkOwl analysts have noticed the emergence of new markets collaborating with real Mexican criminals. They were able to determine the direction: attackers began to move from large markets that attract the attention of law enforcement agencies to smaller and less well-known websites.
The websites discovered by DarkOwl are a mix of old and new marketplaces, spiced up with new features and an updated interface.
- Cartel de Sinaloa (CDS Market) is a marketplace that may be linked to the infamous Sinaloa Cartel, a major Mexican crime syndicate. The site sells illegal substances, various chemicals, weapons, malware, and also offers money laundering and hitman services.
- Cartel Gulf Texas is a marketplace associated with some gangs in the state of Sinaloa. This site offers delivery of banned substances from Laredo, Texas to anywhere in the world via the US Postal Service.
- Los Urabenos – associated with the Colombian criminal group “Clan del Golfo”. This marketplace sells pure cocaine and offers killer services.

- Cartel Jalisco Nuevo Generation (CJNG) – associated with the gang of the same name in Mexico. Advertised as “the world’s most trusted cocaine dealer”. Prohibited substances are shipped by sea or air. Payments are accepted in bitcoins.
- Ausline is a marketplace focused on the Australian and New Zealand audience. Created by a well-known drug dealer on the dark web and allegedly has direct ties to the Colombian Scorpion Cartel.
Note: Anything can be fake on the darkweb, so any of the above marketplaces can be a phishing site that let criminals steal money of paid “orders”.
